Keeping the Kitchen Warm-ish
Due to vaulted ceilings and an abundance of poorly insulated doors and windows in our kitchen, we keep this old wood burning cook stove blazing all day long. The small firebox requires constant attention and doesn't put out a lot of heat, but in 6 degree weather it makes us feel better. One of these days I will fix the oven damper so we can eat our own wood fired pizza. Thanks to Seth we have a sweet hatchet to make kindling.

Looks cozy! Have you don't any cooking on it yet? Is that a radiator next to the stove?

ReplyDeleteThe floor tiles look so much better than I remember. Did you do something to them? Is the flue able to be fixed?
ReplyDeleteYeah, we cleaned them. I'm not sure what the deal is with the flue. I'll have Andy chime in on that.
